By day, I work in the FinTech sector, where over two decades I've done everything from integrating third-party APIs to coaching teams as a scrum master, and more recently diving into data engineering with Databricks and Azure.

I've got a First-Class BSc in Applied Software Engineering from the Open University, which I completed in my forties while working full-time, because I seem to like doing things the wrong way around (get a job, build a career, then get the qualifications!??)

By night (and weekends, and honestly any spare moment) I'm a tinkerer and serial hobbyist. That means animatronic costume props, Raspberry Pi Pico experiments, MicroPython, local AI setups, and whatever rabbit hole I've fallen into this week.

I'm also openly neurodivergent and occasionally write about that too, particularly where it intersects with tech, how I work, and how I manage to get things done despite my brain's best efforts to the contrary.
